Road transportation plays an important role in national economy;however,the non-short term snowing in the north area let non-easy automatic melting ice and snow cover the winter road.This makes vehicles and passengers run on the road inconveniently,increases traffic accident ratio,decreases cargo transportation efficiency,affects the healthily development of national economy badly.A proper winter road maintenance strategy is a key factor to swiftly,comfortably,safe traffic and national economy.This paper cites the research literatures and research reports at home and abroad,introduces the corresponding research progress and gives a sound comments based on prevention and control,maintenance strategies and operations for winter road snow and ice control.Through the comments,all related researchers and road industries can look the summary as a good reference for their further research on winter road snow and ice control.
