Abstract
Helping the Aboriginal people find jobs and better ways to meet the labor market needs is one of the priorities confronted with the Canadian government.Since 1989,the implementing of Pathways to Success and its successor programs has played a key role in increasing the employment rate,securing sufficient financial resources,consolidating social security policy for Aboriginal people and enhancing Aboriginal self-government.Based on the evolution of Canadian Aboriginals' employment programs,this paper outlines the lessons and significance of Pathways to Success and its successor programs,aiming to shed light on the employment and training programs for Chinese ethnic minority groups.
