Abstract
Three species of Chimonanthus, including Chimonanthus zhejiangensis M.C.Liu.,Ch.salicifolius S.Y.Hu and Ch.praecox (L.) Link.,have been selected to study on seed vigor with five methods in the summer and autumn of 2006.The results demonstrated that TTC test was the most effective to test seed vigor for Chimonanthus Lindl.for its simple,quick,and stable performance.Even though the methods of BTB,colouringsubstance,fluorescence and germination were able to evaluate seed vigor,they were less efficient than TTC.
