There are 14 hydropower generators in Three-gorge Left Bank Power Station,including 6 VGS units manufactured by the joint operation body from GE Canada and Voith-Siemens Germany,which is the water-cooled generator.There were some problems in pure water system of VGS unit in Three-gorge Left Bank Power Station,such as nitrogen pressure warning,high cost of maintenance,and makeup water for electromagnetic pump at starting etc..To solve these problems,the pure water ripple compensation installation was developed by Three-gorge Hydropower Plant and Shenyang Haiwei Power Equipment Co.,which is not only to solve these problems,but also to solve the problem of damage of electromagnetic pump for VGS unit in Three-gorge Hydropower Plant.
