Abstract
The Aboriginal's economy has been lingering at the edge of the Canadian economy,and they find themselves operating in welfare economy parallel to that of the more modern economy,which attributes to the lasting effects on the Aboriginal community made by the colonial history.Although the federal government has adopted various economic strategies,implementing Social Assistance Program,initiating Modernization approach,strengthening Aboriginal culture,with the intention of assisting the Aboriginal peoples in leaving behind the strange cycle of welfare economy,the Aboriginal peoples must control the ownership of the natural recourses and the initiative power of self-development,enhancing the economic competitive power immediately and extending the extension and depth to cooperate with non-Aboriginal groups.Only in this way can the Aboriginals thoroughly change their passive situation of governmental assistance and relief.
