Abstract

Objective To investigate the correlation between the plasma homocysteine(HCY),high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),the locus of cerebral stroke and vascular cognitive impairment no dementia(VCIND).Methods The post-stroke patients were divided into VCIND group and control group with the Chinese version of the montreal cognitive assessment scale(MOCA),concentrations of plasma HCY and hs-CRP,locus of cerebral stroke was compared between the two groups.Results The plasma concentrations of HCY and hs-CRP in VCIND group were higher than that control group(P 0.05);In VCIND group,the concentration of plasma HCY and hs-CRP were negatively correlated with the MOCA ratings(P0.05).The concentrations of plasma hs-CRP has no significant Linear correlation with the concentration of plasma HCY(P0.05);The Chi-square test found the cortex,basal ganglia,thalamic stroke have correlation with the occurrence of VCIND(P0.05),Bilateral and Multiple cerebral infarction more likely lead to VCIND(P0.001).Conclusion The occurrence of VCIND is related to plasma HCY,hs-CRP and locus of cerebral stroke.
