Abstract
This paper analyses the common access authentication process and the enhanced access authentication process of CDMA2000 system.Then we study the involved protocols,algorithms and their encryption mechanism and operation theories.On these basics,paper point out the security threat and hidden trouble,which the existent authentication mechanism faces to.At last paper introduce the mechanism based on the public key structure,prove that only the mechanism based on the public key can satisfy the increasing demand of security in mobile communications.
