Abstract
Ces trois villes américaines ont connu ou connaissent actuellement une gestion municipale progressiste. Les coalitions au pouvoir y ont cherché à utiliser le pouvoir municipal comme un levier de changement économique et social pour la majorité des citoyens et comme un instrument d’amélioration de la qualité de vie en ville. Les réalisations, même éphémères, que décrit l’article n’en sont pas moins significatives dans le contexte politique conservateur qui prévaut actuellement aux États-Unis.
