Abstract
A distributed microwave measurement system based on Ethernet was designed and implemented in order to meet the requirements of mass-data remote microwave measurements, such as high resolution microwave imaging. The system constitution and the action of its components are given. The key component of the system is a digital intermediate frequency receiver employing DSP and FPGA to obtain amplitude and phase data in real-time, which improves measurement speed and flexibility. The implementations of hardware and software are also described.
