Abstract
Small and micro businesses have been playing a very important role in providing jobs,increasing income,improving people's livelihood,and bringing in tax and revenue.However,ever since the first quarter of 2010,the 10-quarter-long overall economic decline and the considerable rise of cost in raw material and land and housing rent are dragging them to severe crisis.Through an investigation of the status quo of the small enterprises in Ningbo,Xiaoshan,Huzhou and other cities,this paper provides a discussion on ways of reversing the present difficult situations and seeking breakthrough for future sustainable development.The solutions range from changing management strategies,seeking living space in dislocation development,going deeper in market segmentation,purchasing new technologies,and to vertical development.
