The Physiological Effect of Exogenous ABA on Germination of Hybrid Rice Seed

Abstract
The physiological effects of exogenous ABA on seed germination was presented in this paper. The result showed that as rice seeds were soaked in ABA solution, germination viability was promoted at low concentration (10mg/L), and was decreased at high concentration (70mg/L). Endogenous GA 3 contents decreased at every treatment, endogenous ABA and ipA contents increased at high concentration and decreased at low concentration, ABA/GA 3 ratio increased at every treatment; α amylases activity and soluble sugar content increased at low concentration and decreased at high concentration; Soluble protein content decreased at low concentration and increased at high concentration. Negative correlation highly existed between germination viability and ABA/GA 3 ratio and ipA content and soluble protein content (r 1 =-0.957 *,r 2 =-0.912 *,r 3 =-0.821 *), positive correlation existed between germination viability and α amylases activity and soluble sugar content (r1=0.754 *,r 2=0.664 (*) ).
