Abstract
Objective To approach the reason and potential route of transmission by analyzing the epidemiological characteristic of A/H1N1 influenza outbreaks in the aircraft,and to provide the reference for prevention and control of A/H1N1 influenza.Methods Face-to-face investigation and field investigation were used to describe the whole process and epidemiological features.The correlation factors were investigated by using case-control study.Results There were 8 final diagnosis cases of A/H1N1 influenza reported in this occurrence.The invasive time of the first case was May 27th,2009,while the time distribution of the other cases was centered from May 30th to June 1st.Using mouth-muffle had statistical significance during the trip from Vancouver to Hongkong,so as using toilet numbered 7 whose OR was 4.8(95% CI:0.5~56).Conclusions The epidemiological curve showed the point-source character in this outbreak.The possible origin came from Liner CX889,and the possible conveying place was the toilet at the end of the aircraft where the first case had vomited.The normalization and accuracy of sampling,the conservation and transportation of sample,and the laboratory detection quality control of viral nucleic acid in laboratory detection were the criticality of case discovery and secondary case occurrence prevention.
