Abstract
The paper introduces a new open channel water flux measurement device that aims to resolve the problem of inaccurate water measurement in irrigation districts. This device encodes the water level first, and then sends it to the microprocessor. The water flow formula is gotten from the cut_throat flume. After flux calculating, the water flux is shown in real_time. At the same time, it stores the irrigation records for later query. Data can be transmitted to the remote computer for printing and analyzing on the RS_485 bus. This product has been used in the water_saving irrigation system and worked well.
