Electric power industry in Canada is introduced.The characteristics of electric power management in Canada are summarized as:separating government function from business,developing electric power on provincial basis,private and public combination,service for customer.Most of city level power companies are private companies and they are financially accountable.Rural power enterprises are private owned,and they run business on their own decision,responsible for their profit and loss,and they are self-restrained and self-developing economic entities and economically competitive market players.Power supply reliability,rule by law and customer service are emphasized in Canadian power sector.
