Abstract
Since the 21st century,in the face of the development of knowledge economy and global competition,Canada has begun to implement the education development strategy,taking university as the major power of science and technology innovation,for enhancing its international competition in the future.But as an important component,Canadian aboriginal groups' participation proportion in higher education has been low for a long time because of the social,historical,cultural,geographical and other causes,which stops the development of the aboriginal communities,and it is not beneficial to Canadian economy and the development of educational equity either.Therefore,enhancing Canadian aboriginal groups' participation proportion in higher education and providing more financial assistance to them become the important topics in Canadian higher education in recent years.
