Abstract
Biomass of bacteria on the surfaces of magnetic carriers is measured to study wastewater treatment by magnetic carriers with immobilized microorganism.In this article,the indirect measurement of biomass attached on the magnetic carriers by ninhydrin colorimetric method is studied.The optimal absorption wavelength,optimal digesting time,optimal cooling time and the optimal pH of buffer solution are ascertained.The result shows that under the optimum conditions,the color reaction absorbance of bacteria digested soup has a positive correlation with the biomass of bacteria.
