Abstract
[Objective] With the rapid development of computer technology,a perfect design and development of Chinese medicinal materials management system will have certain social significance and application value. [Method]With Microsoft Visual Basic 6. 0 as the leading software to design CHMIDY( Chinese Herbal Medicine identification and information database of Yongdeng County in Gansu Province),and Microsoft Office Access 2007 is used to establish. Jet database. [Result]As a result,the users can separation and combination search for a single needed herb according to its name,alias,characters,function,taboo,leading function,collection and utilization. Searching for herbs can also be performed with other combined conditions and structure characteristics. In addition,after classification and identification by morphological features,various herb-specific properties can be browsed in the system. [Conclusion] The system can provide efficient services for production,education,research,management and decision-making etc.
