Abstract
After hundreds of years' development,Canadian English has developed into a unique variety of English.Canadian English,while different from both British and American English,added many features which are typically Canadian.This article traces the historical information on the development of Canadian English and then discusses the formation of the characteristics of Canadian English under the continuous influence of British and American English.
