Study on Seed Dormancy and Germination Characteristic of Juglans Regia in Tibet

Abstract
Using concentrated sulfuric acid soaking and the control to treat Tibet walnut seed,and seed dormancy and germination characteristics was studied through seeds water absorption rate,different stratification method and endogenous inhibition on cabbage seed germination.The results indicated that water absorption rate using sulfuric acid treatment was higher than that of the control,but seed shell was not the main factor which cause dormancy.shell,walnut kernel pellicle,seed kernel might contain inhibitory substance.Using sulfuric acid to soak 90 min and variable temperature stratification process could promote seed germination in advance,and increase germination rate.In 22 ℃ condition,seed germination could up to 68%,which stratified 160 d in low temperature.
