The development of agricultural information technology has been unbalanced in different places of the world.Many developed countries such as America,Canada and Japan have recognized the importance of agricultural information technology applications.Our country is a large agricultural country,which is weak in agriculture.As the agricultrue production is still on the state of extensive cultivation and information technology application is nothing,the lag of agricultural information technology has resulted in the prices of agricultural production rising and our competing ability weak.All of this will impact on the agricultural developing in our country and our entering WTO.Aiming at the status and issue of the developing of apricultural information technology in our country and considering the feature of information technology development in the world,this paper discuss the possibility of developing and applying information technology to serve for agriculture modernization.How to use agicultural information technology in the knowledge economy.Age to minimize the difference between city and countryside,to raise the working productivity and eventually create an new era of China agriculture development.$$$$
