Abstract
In this paper, for the linear engineering leveling routes, a new method is proposed for founding a fit height datum plane based on several GPS and leveling points, so the accurate leveling values related to the fit height system can be obtained by surveying. The normal leveling results are closed to the GPS points and adjusted accordingly. So the height information in the GPS data can be used efficiently and the GPS surveying used can be used to replace the leveling in the road engineering.
