Objective To explore the effect of prescription comment feedback system to promote the rational use of medicines.Methods The basic indexes and irrational drug use of outpatient prescription in the second quarter of 2010 and the second quarter in 2011 in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively.Results The practice of prescription evaluation feedback and the average of each prescription drug kinds dropped 10.98%;antimicrobial drug use percentage dropped 22.45%;injection use percentage decreased by 11.95%;generic drugs increased usage of 4.05%;the essential drugs increased usage of 7.6%;each prescription drug average amount was reduced by 14.61%;irrational drug use rate decreased by 47.81%.Conclusion The prescription review feedback system can effectively improve prescription quality,reduce the occurrence of irrational drug use.
