Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In discussion on postmodernist theory and literature,Linda Hutcheon, the famous Canadian literary theorist suggested a new concept' Historiographic Metafiction' to refer to a new trend in European-American literary circle which linked postmodernist experimental writing to social-historical context since 1960.This thesis studies the new concept through its emergence as well as the developing process of postmodernist metafiction. It discriminates between Historiographic Metafiction and traditional historical novel, and generalizes the narrative strategies of Historiographic Metafiction.According to Hutcheon,as the new direction of postmodernist metafiction,Historiographic Metafiction refuted the negative remarks such as depthless,counter-historical,void of political content etc.,labelled on postmodernist literature by some critics including Terry Eagleton. While agreeing to the main opinions by Hutcheon, this thesis questions several of her assertions.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
