Abstract
The effects of different storage temperature,pH on seed germination rate,cultivation media on seed germination rate and seedling survival rate of Rhododendron were studied.The results suggested that the seeds of Rhododendron should be preserved at low temperature,which was good for maintaining the germination rate,among them,the germination rate was highest when the seeds preserved at 20 degrees below zero for R.simsii,and for R.mariesii the germination rate was highest when the seeds preserved at 80 degrees below zero;pH value range that suits for Rhododendron seed germination was 5-6.5,higher than 6.5 or lower than 5 would decrease the germination rate obviously;peat covered with a layer of moss was the best cultivation media for Rhododendron,in which the germination rate and seedling survival rate were highest.
