The three origins(Russia,Qinghai,Canada) jasper and Liaoning Hemo-jade were tested by IR(direct transmittance and original object’s diffuse reflectance),after sliced;Compared with the result of testing of the powder KBr;The research indicated that the IR spectrum of different origin samples have slight difference,which can distinguish sample’s referenced origin;compared with traditional testing methods(the powder KBr),the routinization test method(direct transmittance and original object’s diffuse reflectance) can basically meet needs of the gemology test.
