Abstract
The new Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Act went into effect on June 28 th 2002,and it is the first Canadian legislation about immigration and refugee in the 21 th century.Because the new law has been modified a lot,it will definitely bring about a great impact upon both one million overseas Chinese there and the Chinese who are dreaming to immigrate to Canada.
