Abstract
The high strength steels containing rare earth used for sucker rods with independent intellectual property are successfully developed by Baotou Steel based on the unique features of the rare earth.Compared with the common chromium molybdenum steels,the costs of them are greatly decreased.For the steels after heat treatment,the average yield strength is 996 MPa,average tensile strength is 1 086 MPa,average elongation is 15.5%,average reduction of area is 58.3% and average impact energy is 114 J.Its heat treatment properties could meet the technical requirements of H grade sucker rods and the fatigue life could reach 5 million times without fracture.Some sucker rods are exported to Canada and some are used for downhole in some large oilfields at home,which are approved by the users at home and abroad.
