Abstract
The experiment of the rural education in China modern times is a wonderful part in the history of Chinese education, leaving us a rich heritage of education and rural development. It is significant and valuable to Chinese contemporary education. The values are as follows: it brought into a full play running by the non-government institutions, and raised the efficiency; it took all the peasants as the object of education and showed a concern for the loss of school among the peasants; it adopted scientific and practical reform measures, and fully understood the need of farmers' and the need of rural development based on the extensive investigation and in-depth studies.
