Abstract

In this paper we studied the algorithms of Chord which is a typical distributed hash table routing of peer-to-peer system. In order to resolve the issues existed in supporting data storage,we proposed FreeChord which extended the capabilities of original Chord. FreeChord supports data storage,IPv4/IPv6 dual protocol stacks and multiple instances in a single machine.
