Through using the method of literature analysis,this paper reviewed some sports law literatures in the countries of common law tradition and made detailed examination on the content of several sports law monographs in England,United States and Canada.It concluded that the sports law studies in common law countries concentrated on the application of competition law and employment law in sports field,their discussion subject attached importance to the statutes and bylaws of the sports federations and their methodology was the case law analysis focus on the practical problems.The studies of sports law in common law countries have mature research structure with their own characters and research achievements are worth us for reference.
