The Alberta Ingenuity Fund(AIF)is a provincial funding agency in Alberta Canada,which offers fund to the research and development in the province.In this paper the programs of the agency is introduced and how programs managed is illustrated.Comparisons made between AIF and Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation in their similarities and dissimilarities and the enlightenments to the management and practice of Zhejiang provincial natural science foundation are discussed.
