Abstract
Objective To investigate the characteristics of the food poisoning events from 2002to 2012and discuss the precautionary measures.Methods Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the general features,seasonal distribution,causes and occurring places.Results There were 3 546documented food poisoning events from 2002to 2012,resulted in 121 034cases,in which 2 234died.Most annual cases were reported in 2006while in 2003most death cases occured.The 3rd quarter of the year has the highest incidence rate,and the main causes were microbiological pathogens.Most cases occurred at dining hall.However,highest mortality rate of food poisonning events happened at home.Conclusion The serious situation of food poisoning requires enhancing publicity for food safety,strengthening survillance and prevention,launching the training for food poisoning emergency events and establishing the food risk-assessment frame.
