Abstract
Most reference management softwares currently available are desktop-oriented and well tailored for personal use. They lack of support for coordination,cooperation,sharing,and are unable to meet special requests at team level. To tackle this problem,present a team-oriented collaboration and management system for Web references. It uses a hierarchical directory structure to meet the demands for classification and organization of both users and references in a coherent manner and uses vector space model algorithm to match the relevance of references and the object of users to achieve to recommend references actively. Ajax technology is adopted for the client-end in order to improve the speed,efficiency and user-friendliness for online access. Preliminary experiments show that it has achieved its targets in web-based reference sharing,reading,evaluation and recommendation at team level.
