The influence mechanism of social capital on farmer's income:A case of Zhangye City,Gansu

Abstract
Rural issues concerning agriculture,countryside and are vital problems related to the entire national economy and social development.The farmers' income is the core of it.In order to further explain the impact mechanism of social capital on the farmers' income,we established income path model by which the relationship between social capital and farmer' income was showed.Then AMOS software was used to calculate the path coefficient for each path.In the end,advices are given to improve farmers' income.The result shows that:(1) The total effect of social capital affecting farmers income is 0.683,which directly effect is 0.596,much higher than the indirect effect 0.087.(2) The abilities to obtain the information and the new technologies,to resist risks,to get credit and to participate in politics could increase the incomes of the farmers,but social capita indirectly effected the farmers' income,and the effects ere 0.025,0.013,0.029,0.007 and 0.012.
