Anne of Green Gables is the masterpiece of Lucy Maud Montgomery who is a famous female writer in Canada.Millions of readers around the world have been deeply touched since the book was published in 1908.And the book made Montgomery win an international reputation.Based on the religious point of view,the thesis analysis three aspects of Christian thoughts embodied in Anne of Green Gables.That is,the spirit of love,original sin and redemption,devotion.At the same time,Anne of Green Gables also strongly rejects the traditional Christian views on women,which is regarded as a great advance at that time.
