Abstract

Energy conservation is often the most economical solution to energy shortages.Energy conservation may result in the increase of financial capital,environmental value,national security,personal security.Direct consumers of energy may want to conserve energy in order to reduce energy costs and promote economic security.The government of Canada attaches great importance to energy conservation.An attempt is made in this paper to access hydroelectricity net generation and wind power in Canada context.Energy conservation efforts by Natural Resources Canada are also discussed.
