Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

China's market transition and economic structural change over the past three decades have led to rapid income growth and consequently benefited women and their families;however, these economic transformations have also intensified the strain from the dual demands of work and care provision for women. While China's one-child policy means that there are fewer children to be cared for, steep declines in fertility, combined with longer life expectancy, have dramatically increased the aged-dependent burdens and intensified the need for caring services for the elderly. The growing conflict between women's dual roles as income earners and care-givers has severe adverse implications to the well-being of women and their families. To promote research on care economies and policy attention to care provision, this paper reviews the feminist economic literature on care provision and the public policy that developed countries have adopted to deal with care provision and discusses their implications to China.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
