A new Const False Alarm Rate(CFAR) detector(MODVCA) based on Ordered data variability(ODV) Cell Averaging(CA) is proposed in this paper.It takes the sum of ODV and CA local estimations as a global noise power estimation.Under the Swerling II assumption,the analytic expression of in homogeneous background is derived.In contrast to other schemes,the results show that the detection performance of MODVCA is improved both in homogeneous environment and in multiple target situations,while the sample sorting time of MODVCA is only quarter of that of ODV.
