Abstract
China garden quarter in EXPO'99Garden in Kunming is a typical exam-ple to exhibit ' oneself' and to show or reflect regional features and ethnic charac-teristics of each province,municipal or au-tonomous regions of China.Application of various regional characteristic plants in34individual stylish gardens and adaptability of these plants to the natural conditions of Kunming were investigated and analyzed so that to deepen the recognition of the importance of regional native plants in garden construction and to provide with experience and reference of enriching species or strains of ornamental plants in landscape construction in Kunming.
