An introduction to the reinforcing technology by shotcrete with steel fiber is made in this paper, including its developing situation in foreign countries, main types of steel fiber, design data of various shotcrete with steel fiber, typical designs, construction requirement, and its application to reinforcing the high side slope in Xiaolangdi hydropower project, to the details of the structure of shotcrete layer, material, equipment and the main construction requirements.
