Abstract
Inés Efrón incarne Alex, une adolescente hermaphrodite à qui la société demande de choisir un sexe. Pour sa part, elle retourne les questions et, usant de son libre arbitre, donne libre cours à la nature sans que la question ne soit réglée par un quelconque bistouri. C’est dans ces eaux que navigue XXY, et la réalisatrice, Lucía Puenzo, refuse la facilité à l’heure de traiter ce sujet plongeant dans les profondeurs de ce drame qui malmène un concept fondamental : la nature sexuelle homme-femme.
