Abstract
The hydrophilic silicone rubbers were prepared using hyperbranched silicone polymers,tetraethoxysilane(TEOS),catalyst and hydroxyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) via mix.And hyperbranched silicone polymers above were prepared by hydrolysis reactions of deionized water,γ-aminopropyltrietoxisilan(KH-550) and TEOS.The hydrophilic silicone rubbers were analyzed and characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),the contact angle measurement,and the physical properties of rubbers were tested.Results reveal that the hyperbranched silicone polymers can significantly improve the hydrophilicity of silicone rubbers,the contact angles of silicone rubber and water decrease,and the mechanical properties of hydrophilic silicone rubbers are improved to some extent.
