Analysis on Combining Ability and Hereditary Parameter of Mainly Characters in Contact Type Maize Inbred Lines

Abstract
By using NC-Ⅱdesign,the combining ability and corresponding genetic parameters of 9 characters of 11 maize inbred lines with compact type were analyzed.The results showed that the lines of 772 and 4106 with the higher common combining ability,could be used directly.The 5 combinations including 06Dan5×Chun2 et al with higher heterosis had yield-increasing potentiality.The analysis of genetic parameters indicated that those characters including plant height,ear length,and rows per ear were mainly controlled by the effects of additive gene.So the selection of these characters should be considered in earlier generation.
