Abstract
There are two factors which determine an enterprise's competiveness in a nation:comparative advantages and competitive advantages. Comparative advantages depend on the nation's endowment of resources or other natural advantages to develop the industry,while the competitive advantages are more relevant to the strategy adopted by the enterprise and its corresponding capability to create value,which is fostered by the strategy and structure of the enterprise and the market environment. Based on the definition of the enterprises’ international competitiveness in economics,this article analyzes the status quo of the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises in global stage and its weaknesses,before proposes the solution to overcome the plight of smiling curve and enhance the competitiveness as to transform the comparative advantages to competitive advantages.
