The relation between economic growth and environment in Gansu Province was taken as a case.Based on the 11th Five-Year Plan task of energy-saving and emission reduction,the environment Kuznets curve(EKC) model of discharging main pollutants emission was built.The model measured the curve of the total discharge of major pollutants and emission reduction and energy-saving during the years 2007-2008,and predicted the volume control after the emission reduction and energy-saving.The model showed that waste water emissions will be shown an obvious upward trend,and solid waste discharge will also increase,the emission of waste gas will significantly decrease.The task of reducing solid waste and waste water discharge is heavier than that of waste gas and sulfur dioxide emission during the 11th Five-Year Plan period.
