Abstract
East China University of Science and Technology hosted an international symposium on total education from October 23 rd to 25 th in 2009. Around eighty scholars,principals,and entrepreneurs from Canada,USA,Sweden,and other nations highly discussed such topics as engineering education as a new academic discipline,industrial needs,collaboration,and partnership ,and curriculum and instruction for design creativity and innovation.
