Abstract
Meredith and Shaw and Barrie are three English writers who had obvious influence upon DING Xi\|lin's comedy. The rational quality and style of DING Xi\|lin's comedy mainly embodies the influence of Meredith. The art of actor's lines in DING Xi\|lin's comedy mainly embodies the influence of Shaw. Supplementing each other between writing realistically and making up in DING Xi\|lin's comedy mainly embodies the influence by Barrie. Under the influence of them DING Xi\|lin had gotten an individual point which agreed with the spirit of the time and social thought and rational quality and wonderful language art, thus made important contribution to ripening of Chinese modern drama.
