Study of cognitive function in elderly patients with symptomatic vertebral artery stenosis
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Objective To investigate the cognitive function of the elderly patients with symptomatic vertebral artery stenosis, and the changes of cognitive function and affection of the patients after stent-assistant angioplasty(SAA).Methods A total of 22 elderly symptomatic vertebral artery stenosis patients unresponsive to pharmacotherapy were recruited, and SAA was performed.Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA) was performed to evaluate the cognition and Hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety rating scale(HAMA) were used to assess the affection before and at 1,3,6 and 12 months after surgery. Results The total MoCA score of about 54.5% patients was below the normal standards before SAA;the depression and anxiety rates were 27.3% and 54.5%.Compared with the preoperative levels, the total MoCA score, scores of line connection, copying cube, drawing clock and delayed recall increased significantly(P 0.05,P 0.01),the scores of HAMD and HAMA decreased after surgery in these patients(P 0.01).Conclusion The elderly patients with symptomatic vertebral artery stenosis have cognitive impairment and affective disorders,SAA may improve the cognitive abilities as well as the depression and anxiety in these patients.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
