Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The Lagrangian-Eulerian algorithm was used for simulating flow past a confined cylinder with 1:2 diameter/wall ratio. The one-mode Phan-Thien and Tanner(PTT) constitutive model was used in the present calculation. Profiles of both velocity and stresses are obtained at different sections of the steady flow, and compared with laser Doppler velocimetry and flow-induced birefringence data given by Baaijens et al. for a polyisobutylene/tetradecane(PIB/C14) contraction flow at Deborah number De = 0.93. Overall, the simulation has reproduced the experimental results with good accuracy, the agreement between the numerical predictions and the experimental results is fairly well. In addition, the dimensionless drag on the cylinder is reported to be a monotonically decreasing function of the Deborah number, and agrees well with the numerical results of Dou and Phan-Thien.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
