This paper offers a detailed analysis of causes, systems of classification, drawing patterns, images, folkloric and religious descriptions related to various versions of the Miao Albums produced in the Qing Empire. It links the albums to knowledge and imagination of the Qing imperial officialdom of the others on its periphery.During the early modern process, i.e. about between 1500 and 1800, various kinds of expanding nations and empires, when expanding, by means of conquering, or direct colonization, or getting help from diplomacy, they collected and noted down the information related with the people who would interact with soon; moreover, the interest of ethnography to Other is not a The West Exclusive phenomenon, but a more extensive early modern nation constructing process.
